It’s the highlight of Fred Perry’s Sports Authentic collection, which blends a late-1970s Sportswear style with a more modern Streetwear look. The pique fabric is thicker and more durable than regular cotton. The Steel Marl option has a quintessential sports heritage look, and goes with almost everything – from dark jeans to light-coloured chinos. Its designers say the Fred Perry autumn winter crew neck jumper is “based on a classic piece of sportswear, taking inspiration from the shapes of modern streetwear.” Made from a blend of cotton (90%) and lambs-wool (10%), it has a superb magnified gingham feature on the front, with plain-colour sleeves and back.
